Launch of the Africa Long-Term Finance Scoreboard and Database - Webinar Report

Nov 08, 2019 | MFW4A, GIZ

The Africa Long-Term Finance Scoreboard & Database was officially launched on October 30th. The Scoreboard is the culmination of several years’ effort to strengthen information exchange on long-term investment finance in Africa. Going forward the intention is to further develop the Scoreboard so that it becomes the “go-to place” for information on Long-Term Finance (LTF) in Africa. The LTF Scoreboard is part of the Africa Long-Term Finance Initiative supported by the AfDB, the German Development Cooperation (BMZ, implemented by GIZ), FSD Africa. The purpose of the Initiative is to foster long-term investment with a particular focus on the infrastructure, housing and enterprise sectors. The LTF Scoreboard assembles data both from available secondary sources and primary sources using AfDB’s extensive network of focal points to collect statistical data from across Africa. It allows for country comparisons and global benchmarking on the sources, depth and uses of LTF as well as on the enabling environment
