Togo issues a CFAF30 billion bond on the WAEMU's market
The country has received the support of UMOA-Titres.Togo will issue on November 19th a 30 billion CFA francs (€45.5 million) 5-year bond, West Africa's regional debt planning agency UMOA-Titres has announced.
This issue has a 6.25 per cent coupon and will be sold in units of 10,000 CFA francs on the regional market.
The Central Bank of West African States (BCEAO) has recently received approval from the Council of Ministers of the WAEMU
region to create a regional agency to support States with the issuance and management of public debt securities within the union.
'UMOA-Titres' coordinates and structures bond issuance programs, organises capacity building seminars for key players of the regional financial market and promotes government securities to investors.
It also manages bond operations on the regional market and monitors their outcome.
