Feb 19, 2016

It has partnered with Bluenove to create this innovation lab in Dakar.

A new "Lab" dedicated to innovation in the financial sector in Africa has just been launched in Dakar.

It was born from a partnership between French banking group Societe Generale and Bluenove, a French-Canadian company specialising in consulting in the field of innovation.

The objective of this lab, hosted by the office space network Jokkolabs, is to "stimulate and accelerate innovation across all the bank's subsidiaries in sub-Saharan Africa," said the bank in a statement seen by Jeune Afrique.

It added that the lab will be "an incubator for innovative projects" in the field of finance and will be "immersed in an ecosystem of open innovation, in constant contact with local actors (startup, entrepreneurs, experts ...) and will test the adequacy of the group's innovative projects with local market trends".

Ultimately, innovative banking models will be implemented across the bank's network in sub-Saharan Africa.ADNFCR-2976-ID-801812947-ADNFCR
