Training will improve business performance of banks

In a two-day workshop concluded on Thursday 18th of August, 2016, commercial banks in Gambia among other playmakers in the private sector have been trained on Gambia's Labour Laws aimed at safeguarding the operations and improving performance of commercial banks. The Training of Bankers was organized by the Gambia Chamber of Commerce (GCCI) in collaboration with the International Labour Organisation (ILO). In his remarks at the event, the chairman of the GCCI Employers' Committee, Sulayman Joof, said the training which will be in batches will acquaint the trainees with the labour laws of Gambia and allow them operate within it. More also, GCCI's Chief Executive Officer Alieu Secka, said the chamber would further provide essential services to commercial banks among other members of the private sector, including services pertaining to individual and labour matters.
