A workshop organised by the Partnership for Making Finance Work for Africa Secretariat
in collaboration with the African Development Bank and the Central Bank of West African States
has opened a dialogue on the development of the financial sector in Senegal.

Hundreds of experts, including officials from banks, ministries, central banks, development partners and universities have taken part in the meeting, held on April 15th and 16th in Dakar for the launch of the study "Financing Africa: Through the Crisis and Beyond".

This report has been conducted in collaboration with the African Development Bank, the World Bank and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.

It supports the efforts of African policymakers and reports on recent trends in Africa, highlights the opportunities and challenges for the coming years, and develops new policy messages to promote the deepening and widening of the financial sector.

The workshop participants discussed recent developments and prospects for the development of the financial sector in the countries of the WAEMU region, with a focus on Senegal.

The meeting opens a series of workshops presenting the new study, which will take place across the continent.ADNFCR-2976-ID-801573422-ADNFCR
