Bank of Kigali Launches Stock Brokerage Service in Rwanda

Bank of Kigali will start providing brokerage services in Rwanda, after receiving a licence from the financial authorities last week.

Operating under the name of its subsidiary - BK Securities Limited – the bank will be able to provide brokerage services for all equities listed on the Rwanda Stock Exchange.

It also plans to grow its product offering to include Fund management, asset management and wealth management as well as transaction and corporate finance advice.

BK's Chief Executive Officer James Gatera said in a press release that it offers the investing public an opportunity to buy and sell shares or bonds under the umbrella of the Bank's brands.

"This is another big step towards realizing the Bank's Vision of offering universal 'One Stop Shop' financial services to all its clients," he commented.
