Africa-SMEs : AFD is partnering with French consulate chambers
The agency will invest two million euros to support SMEs.
The French Development Agency (AFD) signed a partnership agreement with the African and Francophone Consular Chambers (CPCCAF).It will provide a €2 million financial support over three years to the network of chambers in the "companionship" of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) between Africa and France, Jeune Afrique reports.
According to CPCCAF
president Albert Yuma-Mulimbi, this initiative will help develop a network of SMEs in Africa and boost employment.
This agreement is based on seven consular pairs, including a chamber in France and a second one in Africa.
The resources and expertise of both organisations will be put together to achieve the goals defined under three components : supporting services to SMEs, training economic actors and strengthening organisational models.
