Workshop on “Correspondent Banking Compliance” for local banks in Africa
Making Finance Work for Africa (MFW4A) in partnership with the African Development Bank (AfDB) and with the support the German Cooperation (BMZ/GIZ) organized a training on “Correspondent Banking Compliance for Local Banks in Africa” in Accra, Ghana from 19 -21 February 2019.
This workshop targets primarily compliance officers and trade finance officers of local banks (non-affiliated to major banking groups) from Ghana, Nigeria, Sierra Leone and the Gambia. The objectives are:
- To strengthen compliance officers’ knowledge on correspondent banking compliance.
- To provide more technical skills to local banks in terms of new regulations.
- To understand the needs and challenges of those banks on the compliance side.
