12 November 2020 - The Making Finance Work for Africa (MFW4A) Secretariat, GIZ and Agritask hosted a webinar entitled "Crop Insurance: Data Analytics, GIS and Product Design".
In this webinar the panelists:
• Introduced precision agriculture technologies that are relevant to smallholder crop insurance;
• Discussed how risk mitigation measures and other value-adding services to farmers can be achieved and contributed within the crop insurance context;
• Used examples from relevant projects globally to illustrate the use of technologies in designing crop insurance products and launching insurance schemes.
