State of Housing Microfinance in Africa

This paper investigates the progress being made by housing microfinance (HMF) on the continent. It maps involved institutions and actors, describes capacity building initiatives around housing HMF and presents the key issues in the wider housing delivery chain. Finally this paper presents major messages on the way forward to HMF lending on the continent.
