SADC Remittance Flows Report

This report discusses findings of qualitative research (focus group discussions and individual interviews) conducted on the remitting pattern and behaviour of migrants from SADC, based in South Africa and remitting into the SADC regions. The focus of this study was to gain insight into remittance behaviour and patterns of the SADC migrant population, by analysing the various channels, both formal and informal, used by remitters. This research was designed to shed light on the value and frequency of remittances, together with the channels used.
