Mar 01, 2012 | AU, GIZ, BMZ, MFW4A

This policy paper is the final result of a joint effort between key stakeholders and development partners and culminates in the “Kampala Principles”, which were adopted at the “Making Finance Work for Africa” (MFW4A) conference “Zipping Finance and Farming in Africa”, in Kampala, attended by more than 300 participants. This Policy Brief provides a set of policy recommendations designed to help promote the expansion of agricultural finance in Africa. It is addressed to African policy makers from the broad range of ministries, from central banks and regulatory authorities involved in agricultural finance. It concerns also donors, financial institutions and farmers’ organizations engaging in policy dialogue and advocacy.
