Offshore Banking & the Prospects for the Ghanaian Economy

This paper aims to shed some light on the potential benefits of Offshore Banking to the Ghanaian economy, using both theoretical evidence and selected country case studies. The general consensus in the literature suggest that, while offshore banking has a strong potential of contributing to any economy’s growth prospects, certain pre-conditions need to be in place.
