Migration in Africa: A Review of the Economic Literature on International Migration in 10 Countries

This paper reviews the economic literature on international migration in 10 African countries (Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Ghana, Lesotho, Mali, Mauritius, Nigeria, Senegal, South Africa and Uganda), as a contribution to the AfDB/WB African Migration Project. The review focuses on the economic implications of migration, while recognizing that migration also may have important social and political impacts.
