Aug 31, 2016 | D. Naidoo, A. Motsomi | FinMark Trust

The Central Bank of Seychelles (CBS) and the Financial Services Authority (FSA) commissioned FinMark Trust to undertake a Baseline Survey on Financial Literacy. The purpose of the baseline study was to measure the level of financial literacy amongst the population and provide an assessment of the needs of the population including the identification of possible target groups and the main issues to be dealt with in future financial education interventions. The survey focused on various indicators, including access to financial products and services, awareness and knowledge of financial products and services, as well as attitudes and behaviour towards financial matters.
