This report comes at a time when the results of some new or improved surveys are being published—the World Bank’s Global Financial Inclusion (Global Findex) Database funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the enhanced Financial Access Survey (FAS) of the International Monetary Fund (IMF). Together, these will offer a far more comprehensive picture of the state of financial inclusion.
