Facilitating Cross-Border Mobile Banking in Southern Africa

This report provides a description of the supply-side factors influencing the development of mobile banking services – remittances, informal trade, and the financial and telecommunications landscape. On the basis of this description, the report highlights the key regulatory issues facing Southern African countries, and it concludes with recommendations for overcoming the constraints to developing accessible mobile banking in Africa.
