Entrepreneurs' Challenges to Access Credit in the Democratic Republic of Congo - Experiences from Financial Cooperation

This report examines the Financial Institutions’ (FIs’) interest in working with Micro, Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (MSMEs). This qualitative study aims to characterize the obstructive factors on the demand-side. This study concludes that training and information-sharing facilities as well as coaching measures for the entrepreneurs would be a helpful contribution to reduce the information asymmetry between the entrepreneurs and the financiers and to improve the management capacity of the entrepreneurs.
