DFS Ecosystem Assessment in Sierra Leone

In order to assess the current state of the digital financial services landscape in Sierra Leone, this report makes reference to the ecosystem approach developed by UNCDF’s Mobile Money for the Poor (MM4P) Programme. This approach breaks down the DFS ecosystem in six different pillars (or workstreams) that all together contribute to shaping the overall sector in a given country: policy and regulation, infrastructure, providers, distribution, payment and products, and customers.
