Capital Market Integration: Progress Ahead of the East African Community Monetary Union

This working paper investigates whether actions under the East African Community (EAC) framework have succeeded in accelerating the integration of the EAC capital markets, both debt and stock markets. The report also reviews other regional initiatives that have integrated and developed local currency debts markets in order to draw practical recommendations for the EAC.
