Agric Bank launches first mobile banking solution in Mali

"BNDA Mobile" is the first mobile solution in Mali that allows customers to carry out mobile banking operations.

National Bank for Agricultural Development of Mali (BNDA) has launched the first mobile banking solution in Mali to enable farmers perform financial transactions using their mobile phones in few clicks. The new solution which is called "BNDA Mobile" ushers clients who are largely farmers into the era of digital finance. According to the CEO of BNDA, Moussa Alassane Diallo during a press conference said the new products will enable farmers to check the balance and statement of their accounts and transfer money. "Some time ago, it was the customers who were coming to the banks, but today the situation has changed, with "BNDA Mobile" customers now have their banks in their pockets. "BNDA Mobile" is the first mobile solution in Mali that allows customers to carry out banking operations. "In addition to checking account balances, mini-statements and transfers, the "BNDA Mobile" platform also allows customers to make installment, or withdraw cash from their accounts through an authorized partner of the Bank", Moussa Alassane Diallo said. With over 5 million mobile phone subscribers in Mali, the solution will expand coverage of financial services in Mali. BNDA is one of Mali's largest banks with 44 branches and over 26,000 customers who are mainly farmers.
