SME Finance support in the WAEMU

This event, co-hosted by Making Finance Work for Africa (MFW4A) Partnership and the Agence de Développement des Petites et Moyennes Entreprises (ADEPME), aims to foster information exchange and peer-learning
on business development among small and medium enterprises (SMEs) support agencies in the West African Economic and Monetary Union (WAEMU). The objective is to strengthen SMEs, promote entrepreneurship as well as innovative tools aimed at reducing information asymmetries between SMEs and financial institutions in order to scale up finance for SMEs. Additionally, the regional central bank (BCEAO) will also provide updates on the implementation of the recently adopted strategic framework to boost SME finance in the WAEMU.
