This forum aims to create awareness of Islamic Microfinance among delegates, the financial industry, government and non-governmental organizations, and multilateral donor agencies. Its core objectives include advocating to
key stakeholders on the beneficial use of Islamic Microfinance for social development and poverty alleviation, providing updates on various aspects of Islamic microfinance and providing a platform for dialogue between multilateral donor organizations and microfinance institutions. Sessions will include, amongst others:
  • Current status and future potential;
  • Islamic Agriculture & Rural Finance;
  • Role of Technology for the development of Islamic Microfinance; and
  • Power Table - Panel Discussion II: Challenges and opportunities of Islamic Microfinance Industry.
