African Microfinance Transparency (AMT)

The Partnership Secretariat "Making Finance Work for Africa" ​​(MFW4A) contacted Mrs. Maissata Ndiaye Niasse, Coordinator of the African Microfinance Transparency (AMT) for her to present her organization.

Question: Could you briefly introduce AMT?

Launched in 2003 with the support of the Luxembourgish NGO ADA (Appui au Développement Autonome), the African Microfinance Transparency Forum (AMT) is an association that aims to promote transparency and strengthen the performance of African microfinance institutions (MFIs), in order to improve the efficiency of their actions and activities in terms of poverty alleviation. A new regulation on microinsurance has been introduced in Ghana on Wednesday (February 6th) during a conference organised by the National Insurance Commission (NIC) and the German International Cooperation.
