Access to financial services in Africa is on the increase, up 19.4 percent from 2011 to 2017, according to the 2017 Global Findex report. This change can largely be credited to digital financial services.

MFW4A and Partners Strengthen Capacity of WAEMU DFS Supervisors

  • MFW4A, GIZ, CGAP and the Toronto Centre, organized a workshop on Digital Financial Services (DFS) Supervision for the West African Economic and Monetary Union (WAEMU) from 16 - 19 April 2018. The training was attended by supervisors and regulators from the WAEMU Banking Commission and the Central Bank and gave rise to rich exchanges on the various emerging issues in DFS. Read more.
