Making Finance Work for Africa (MFW4A) and the Centre for Affordable Housing Finance in Africa (CAHF) are pleased to announce the start of a series of webinars whose first edition will be on Residential Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) in Affordable Housing, on 13 July 2017.

The high urbanisation and economic growth rates combined with a demographic boom have brought into sharp focus the housing market dynamics in Africa. Yet, tackling the affordable housing challenge could feel like "a journey of a thousand miles". Many households cannot afford basic formal housing or mortgage loans. Building affordable housing comes with a high-level of complexity involving many interrelated components in the housing delivery value chain, and players with conflicting incentives.
