Pooling of Institutional Investors Capital – Selected Case Studies in unlisted equity infrastructure

This paper aims to provide clarity on some of the issues associated with the evolving field of infrastructure investment and highlights some of the new models that are being used to facilitate the flow of financing. One of the case studies presented in this paper is the Pan African Infrastructure Development Fund (PAIDIF), which provides an example of how funds can be set up with government involvement to help attract institutional investment in the much needed investment areas of the emerging economies and greenfield infrastructure.
